The connection synchronises availability, rates, and inventory (ARI) in both directions.Your PMS sends current room availability, prices, and restrictions to Hotel-Spider, whichdistributes them across all connected online channels. In the return direction, everyreservation, modification, and cancellation received from any channel is automaticallypushed back into your PMS — eliminating manual data entry and keeping your front-desk system always up to date.
Is the PMS connection two-way, or does data only flow in one direction?
It is a fully two-way interface. Your PMS pushes availability, rates, and restrictionsoutward to Hotel-Spider, which distributes them to all connected channels. When abooking is made on any channel, Hotel-Spider pushes the reservation back into yourPMS automatically. Hotel-Spider exclusively uses two-way integrations — there are noone-way feeds — so both systems remain in step at all times without any manualintervention.
How quickly does a change in my PMS reflect on online channels?
Updates happen in real time. As soon as your PMS sends a change — a priceadjustment, a room taken out of inventory, or a new restriction — Hotel-Spider receives itinstantly and distributes it simultaneously to all connected OTAs, your booking engine,and any other active channels. The same applies in reverse: a booking on any channel isreflected in your PMS immediately after Hotel-Spider processes it.
How does a reservation made on an OTA get into my PMS?
When a guest books on any connected channel, Hotel-Spider receives the reservation,logs it, adjusts inventory across all channels, and automatically pushes the completereservation record into your PMS. Your front-desk team sees the booking appear as if ithad been entered directly — no copy-pasting, no manual input. Modifications andcancellations from any channel follow the same automated path back into the PMS.
Does the PMS connection help prevent overbookings?
Yes. Because all connected channels draw from a single, centrally managed inventorypool that is kept in sync with your PMS in real time, any booking on any channelimmediately reduces availability everywhere else. Yes. Hotel-Spider supports two-way integration with revenue management systems(RMS) in addition to PMS connections. Your RMS can push rate recommendationsdirectly into Hotel-Spider, which then distributes them across all channels automatically.This creates a fully automated pricing loop — from your RMS calculating optimal rates,through Hotel-Spider distributing them, to reservation data flowing back — all withoutmanual steps.
Is PMS connectivity included in my Hotel-Spider subscription?
PMS connectivity is included in the Hotel-Spider subscription, depending on thesubscription level. Higher-tier plans include PMS connectivity as part of the package. Ifyour current plan does not include it, it can be unlocked by upgrading to the appropriatesubscription level. Hotel-Spider recommends contacting them directly to confirm whichplan includes PMS connectivity and what the activation process involves for yourparticular PMS.
